Skype Credit: Skype Credit service works on Windows, MAC OS X, Linux, Windows Mobile, WiFi Phones, Cordless phones and Nokia N800. Skype credit is easy to buy and the balance can be easily topped up as and when required. All the aforementioned pay-to-use features and services may be accessed with Skype credit. These include voice mail, SMS, making calls to phones and mobiles, call forwarding and much more at very cheap rates. Users can pay for Skype credit by credit card, PayPal, vouchers or Moneybookers. After successful payment transaction, all the pay-to-use products and features can be accessed after signing into your Skype account. This Skype credit remains active for a period of 180 days after having used a pay-to-use Skype feature or product.
The Skype credit is basically used for making SkypeOut calls, buy a SkypeIn subscription or even buy avatars and ring tones from the “Personalize Skype” section service. So, in order to retain your Skype Credit and keep it active; the user may use “SkypeOut”, “Personalize Skype” or send low cost SMS messages through Skype. More features and services are frequently added to be purchased with Skype Credit. Skype also offers a refund on SkypeIn services, in case the user is not satisfied. The refund is valid within 30 days of SkypeIn subscription purchase.
Skype credit is also available for a group of people or multiple users by registering for Skype for Business Control Panel which facilitates credit purchase for a specific group and have it administered for various Skype names. If the user wishes to gift that special someone a gift certificate; Skype has been thoughtful enough to offer that service as well. The gift certificate feature allows users to buy gift certificates for their fellow Skype users. Certain restrictions do apply on this service. From the My Account” section the user can view the balance amount of his Skype credit as well as top it up if required.
Monthly Subscription Option: This option does not require any long term contracts and as the plan name suggests, the member is required to pay a monthly subscription fee. The subscription plans come equipped with online numbers so that family and friends can reach you directly on Skype. You can also reach your family and friends abroad at affordable rates with your Skype to Go number using any mobile or landline phone. There is no connection fee when the user opts for the subscription call plans. The Skype member has two subscription options to choose from under this plan. The first is the Unlimited Country and the other is the Unlimited World.
Unlimited Country: This subscription options allows the user to make calls during any time of the day or week without any contract obligations. Other features include Voicemail and Skype To Go besides the aforesaid. This plan allows the member to make unlimited calls to landlines in the following countries:

Unlimited World: The Unlimited World subscription option allows the user to make unlimited calls to selected countries worldwide. This option too comes without any contract obligations. The user can make calls to landlines, any time of the day and week in 34 countries across the globe. Furthermore, the user gets 3 online numbers so the user can be reached directly on Skype. Other features also include Skype to Go and Voicemail. The user is allowed to make unlimited landline calls to countries including:

It is also important to make note of the fact here that according to Skype’s fair usage policy, the user gets up to 10,000 calling minutes per month. In case the user exceeds the allotted 10,000 minutes then the normal SkypeOut rates will apply in order to make calls. It is completely safe to make calls using Skype’s subscriptions as all Skype calls are secure and encrypted. Even calls made to standard phones or mobile phones are encrypted.
